Cargo vessel, Valerie, sailing under the management of Shipping Company Groningen experienced problems with its automatic fuel filter. The filter chamber of the Boll & Kirch filter type 6.62DN40 could not be switched and the filter element was stuck. On the vessel’s arrival in Rotterdam, Lubrafil was asked to board the vessel to resolve the problem. Following the standard step-by-step checks, the cause of the problems appeared to lie in an incorrectly set fill time and a blocked vent line. On request, a number of original Boll & Kirch worn parts were changed and the filter was delivered fully-functioning. Onwards to the next destination.
