Tata Steel, malfunction resolved at Warmbandwalserij site.
There are 8 systems in the oil reservoir at the Tata Steel Warmbandwalserij, each equipped with a Boll & Kirch filter. A problem occurred in the electrical control cabinet for one of the 6.61DN150 filters. The transformer in the cabinet had burnt out. Following some investigation and measurement it became apparent that one of the fuses installed in the Tata distribution board was too heavy-duty. This caused a short circuit in the transformer and the circuit board burned out. All the additional system protections ensured that there was no risk of more significant damage. Lubrafil did, however, have to replace the circuit board and transformer.
