Servicing carried out on MV Beaumare in Portugal

The cargo vessel, Beaumare had problems with automatic Boll & Kirch filter, type 6.62DN40. During a stop in Portugal, one of the Lubrafil maintenance engineers boarded the vessel to check whether we could repair the filter locally. Unfortunately, overhaul on board was not possible. In consultation with the client, we proposed replacing the old Boll & Kirch filter on board with a new 6.62DN40. Both are 100% interchangeable and during a visit to the Port of Rotterdam our engineers exchanged the Boll & Kirch filter system. The old system was then overhauled at the Lubrafil workshop. Crucial components were replaced and the system was tested. The Boll & Kirch filter was then sent to Poland where it will be installed on another vessel from the same shipping company. The old Boll & Kirch filter that is to be removed from that vessel will also be overhauled by Lubrafil, creating a rotation system that doesn’t take too much of the client’s time and offers assurance regarding operating hours.
